Alexander Innes Holly, ‘A’, as we called him, was a boy filled with dreams, hopes, and many plans.
Although he was only fourteen years of age when he died, he had already traveled extensively to Europe and Central America, and had lived in both New York City and Los Angeles. These life experiences instilled in him a deep rooted fascination for architecture and archaeology.
In reflection of his passions, we asked ourselves: What are architecture and archaeology?
They’re the physical evidence of the dreams, hopes and plans of our species. Archeology is driven by the desire for recreating the world of those who have gone before us, and architecture is mapping the world we live in now and for the one on the edge of being built.
The ‘A’ Fund for Architecture and Archaeology has been created in Alexander’s memory, to help fulfill the dreams, hopes, and plans for years to come, of students studying these subjects.
