TORONTO — The Good Wife‘s Chris Noth and Portia Doubleday (Carrie) are top-lining After the Ball, a retail romantic comedy now shooting in Montreal.
The Canadian indie, directed by Sean Garrity, stars Doubleday as Kate, an aspiring fashion designer and the daughter of a retail guru played by Noth.
The ensemble cast includes Marc-André Grondin, Lauren Holly, Mimi Kuzyk and Carlo Rota.
After the Ball producers include Don Carmody, Robin Crumley, Gabriella Martinelli and Jane Silverstone Segal.
Jason Sherman and Kate Melville wrote the screenplay for the film, which will be released in Canada by Pacific Northwest Pictures and shopped internationally by Myriad Pictures.
